Halocyamine B exhibits antimicrobial activity against a variety of bacteria and yeasts. Halocyamine B exhibits cytotoxicity to cultured neural cells of rat fetal brain, mouse neuroblastoma N18 cells, and human hepatoma HepG2 cells[1].
